How to use the Second Medical Opinion service.

Unsure about a diagnosis, concerned your medication isn’t working, or simply keen to explore other treatment options? Generali Global Health offers free-of-charge access to world-leading specialists for an independent, confidential review of your case, in partnership with the leading provider Best Doctors.

  1. Contact our Generali Assistance Centre at +1 905 532 3648 or via email at globalservice@generalihealth.com and we will fill a referral form with you. This will be sent to Best Doctors on your behalf to start the process of providing you free and independent second medical opinion service.
     
  2. A case coordinator at Best Doctors will be assigned to contact you back and collect your relevant medical documentation to take your case to a leading global specialist for in-depth review.
     
  3. The Best Doctors team will discuss their review findings in detail with you and provide you with a digital report.
     
  4. You can use the report to discuss treatment options with your physician. If you wish, your Best Doctors case coordinator can assist you in having this conversation.


This service is confidential and does not impact your premiums or replace a doctor’s visit. 
As a member, you will need to confirm what services are available in your policy documents or by contacting your HR representative.
